was a part of the program for the 2017 Venice Biennale.

The voiceover text was read by actor Anatoly Bely, and the video was filmed in Venice.

Transgressing boundaries in space and time, new discoveries on the border between optics and art and mankind’s desire to know the world and find its place within it.

14 artists from various countries told their stories of travel in the ancient Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel, which opened its doors to the general public for the first time in 10 years.
“Man as Bird: Images of a Journey” is a name, guiding concept and leitmotif of the exhibit all in one. In traveling the world, conquering borders and distance like a bird, we preserve the images of our journeys in memory and offer them to the world, which will go on to form a general picture of our lived experience and perception in the future.
